How to RESET Windows 7 login Password from Command PROMPT
We can easily reset Windows 7
password, if we have two administrator accounts on Windows 7 and if we haven’t
forgotten the password for the 2nd administrator account. By logging in with an
account that has administrator privileges, we can reset the password (we have
forgotten) of any user account from the Command Prompt by following the below
mentioned steps :-
1) Click on the Start button, – select
All Programs, and then select Accessories. Right-click on the Command Prompt
shortcut and select ‘Run as administrator’.
2) This will open a Command Prompt in administrator mode. Type
((net user) and press Enter. It displays a list of the user accounts on the
computer.
3) Type the command ((net user username new password)) and
press Enter to reset Windows 7 password.
